She sang his praises!

Cecilia sure takes premier seat on this day. A roman martyr of the early Church, she is beloved by many and her name is raised to the altar during the prayers of the Roman Canon. She sung the praises of God all the way to her death, remaining faithful to Christ in all things.

The world needs to be reminded of such a noble saint as her. Furthermore, she reminds us that it is through music we experience the good, beautiful, and true. Music transcends language, political views, and culture.

It has the capacity to pierce the soul and make us better human beings. May Cecilia move us toward Christ at every moment of life. Happy feast!
