Saturday mornings with that Ancient Prayer

Sister Marie Paul Curley, a Daughter of Saint Paul, wrote this gem of a book Soul of Christ. Here’s to another Saturday morning to share the little pearls I have learned from this book.

Water from the side of ChristFrom our Lord’s side comes the great gift of baptism. Our initiation into the Body of Christ is not static and generic. Grace is working within us and we must make deliberate efforts to be attuned to God’s love in our lives.

wash me: Conversion is something we must constantly work on. It is a deliberate decision to choose Christ each day, to go to him when making major decision and to give thanks for all his graces. Conversion is what the saints constantly did and what we must continue to do.
