Indescribable Love

A few weeks ago, four of Mother Teresa’s sisters were senselessly murdered in the midst of their apostolic work. Perhaps they are the first martyrs of the community of sisters that dawn the white and blue habit, serving the poorest of God’s children in the world.

Without Christ, their martyrdom is meaningless. Yet, because of Christ, their martyrdom is the crowning jewel of their life. They laid down their life for the Lord Jesus who demonstrates love in its perfection.

Today is Palm Sunday. Also known as Passion Sunday for it is the day in which we witness passionate love on full display. How will we react to such public love? Dare we respond or simply be indifferent. This is the love that changes the world and more importantly … it changes humanity’s often cruel hatred and violence into peace.
