God’s holy ones who laughed out loud!

bhm.artwork-plainPerhaps we think of the pious saints of the Church as a drag, a complete bore, or simply irrelevant because they were in Church all the time. That would be far from the truth if we truly understood their lives and called them friends! Today, we make our way to Mass to celebrate the billions who have been canonized in the Church and the countless among us who are saints in heaven.

What makes someone a saint is living their ordinary lives in an extraordinary ways! What makes you a saint is the recognition that you are wired for God, you live in God’s will and though we are all sinners, we get back up through the Sacrament of Reconciliation and move towards holiness.

And what is holiness? Become a mirror for Christ in the world. To speak of God’s mercy and love to a world that is becoming deaf to his voice. It’s more than just missionary work for holiness is joyfully contagious. Happy Solemnity of All Saints!!
