Those things that emerge within us

most_beautiful_green_nature_wallpapers_in_the_world-1If you know me well, you know that my favorite color is green. So a picture like this really captures my eye. It shows a house completely covered by greenery as if it came from the ground itself. It calls to mind that those things which emerge from within us reveal to us the things we must let go. Many times, we call this forgiveness. The most effective definition I’ve heard about forgiveness is letting go, or abandoning the the hope, of a better past.

Forgiveness is not always easy. It’s one of the greatest teachings of Christ; therefore, it’s very challenging in following Christ in his Church. Yet following my Lord as best I can, assures me that I am at least on the correct direction that leads to a life of deep love and joy that makes us fully alive!

Whether its forgiveness, a need for greater charity, more patience … whatever virtue I am working on, God gives us each other to be one body in his Son. We realize that when we come together, being brothers and sisters in Christ is more than a title. It’s reality.
