Remember the movie?

Whenever I think about a feast like today, I recall that hit movie from the 90s:

11898549_518558314969341_4834405346011389161_nIt’s a fun way of thinking of Catholicism! Today, we celebrated a very important role of Mary in our lives: Queen. To great Marian Theologians like Maximilian Kolbe, Mary is the Immaculata and he raised an army in her honor to bring many to Jesus! For Kolbe, Mary was not only a Queen, she is a warrior.

Today’s feast was instituted by Pope Pius XII in 1954 as a way of recalling that at every moment in human history, God has sent Mary to lead us in spiritual battle, she is everything we hope to be, completely obedient to the Father’s will!
