My Valentine

The one about the world’s perspective on love

Today, all throughout the country Starbucks is hosting:

Screen shot 2015-02-14 at 7.51.36 AM#StarbucksDate will be the largest date of the day in which you can go to any establishment after 2pm through closing and get a deal on two drinks and some snacks and enjoy a date at America’s most popular coffee place. It’s a creative way of celebrating Hallmark’s Black Friday.

It’s also a day filled with flowers, chocolates, impossible reservations for dinner at any given restaurant and the color red.

Perhaps its also a day when people remember how much they love certain things in life as this following video portrays. Be sure to watch the whole stream …

Who was Saint Valentine?

A priest who was martyred in the fifth century in Rome for his faith.

A little Catholic humor for the day.

A little Catholic humor for the day.

IfChrist_at_the_Cross_-_Cristo_en_la_Cruz February 14 is the celebration of love through the giving of gifts, then there is only one real Valentine worth considering, our Blessed Lord Jesus. In his absolute freedom, demonstrates his love on the cross for all creation. One has to pause for a moment to stand in awe of the wonder of what God can do in his Son. One has to behold the amazement of how much Jesus can love us in his suffering and glorified us in his Resurrection.
