Christmastide

On this feast of Stephen, I stay warm drinking my cup of coffee and over looking the beautiful skyline of San Francisco as seen above from last night’s photo on Christmas Day.

IMG_1619The Christmas Event and everything that surrounds it brings so many people together and calls us to remember that which is most important: Jesus Christ. Jesus, born into a family, may not have been the perfect family, yet remained the holy family. This child is the God who takes on skin …. for us.

FullSizeRenderHe is the God found in those we love each day of our lives.

IMG_1598He is the God who desires all of heaven for each of us.

So as Holy Chirstmastide begins, I hope that we all take a moment to meet the Christ child whether that be through quiet prayer or feeding the homeless person on the street. In whatever way, may you come to know and love him as we have each year.

God’s insistent call to us will always seem a sort of silence, since His language isn’t what we expect. Only when we love Him enough to prefer His way to ours, His language and His will — only then will we discover Him.” ~ Louis Evely
