Musing over some coffee: Peter & Paul

Across the globe in Rome, the great feast of Peter & Paul is celebrated in grand fanfare.

God called them each in their own way, both men had to give up their old way of life for a new life! Yet, after encountering Christ they were fierce in the proclamation of Christ.

The Lord still calls us today, in our own way, to give up an old life for a new one. Be attentive to that call!

In Lauds, we sang, “Founders of Rome, they bind the world in loyalty; One by the sword achieved, one by the cross his fate; With laurelled brows they hold eternal royalty.”
