“When the music fades ….”

I was heading home late last night knowing that packing for my new assignment for Tuesday would be waiting for me, the words of that popular song were playing in the car, “When the music fades, and all is stripped away, and I simply come. Longing just to bring something that’s of worth that will bless your heart.”

It hit me, the music has faded as this two year series has run its course in the parish life and now I embark on a new chapter in my journey beginning tomorrow. Yet, I look back for a brief moment and savor how the people of St Stephen Parish welcomed me in the Archdiocese when I was only 19 years old. Through these many years, I have been formed and taught by some of my greatest teachers who worship in this community. They haven’t  only been my teachers, but my family in the Archdiocese and this is what makes me orient my life to the altar of God and live a life of thanksgiving before the Father.

Here is only a really small snapshot, a peak into the life of a parish I love …. more to come later
