A feast for priests

This is the first image you see as you approach Ars from the hillside. This is was the place where the shepherd boy pointed to Ars for its future parish priest who would spend his tireless years in service to God and the Church. John Vianney was an ordinary priest who had a zeal for holiness and brought thousands of people to God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

A priest who struggled through seminary, but trusted deeply in the LORD to help him. Today, Vianney is looked upon as the patron of all priests. His life inspires us and moves us onward to heaven. Today is his feast day.

Above is a picture of all my classmates from the Rome Experience 2012 with the Bishop of Ars.
