As if we only met yesterday

It seemed like yesterday when I was introduced to Marietta Goretti! God brought me to her tomb and we gathered to pray the rosary asking for Marietta’s intercession on our journey to priesthood. She is one who loved God so deeply and was willing to offer her life to him in martyrdom. She is an icon of purity for so many young people today, especially us who aspire priesthood.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch along the Mediterranean Sea and headed back to Vatican.

And as if our visit to Marietta was not enough, we met with Monsignor Richard Soseman who is working on the Canonization of the Servant of God Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen – an aspiring life whose priesthood and love for Christ we must imitate in our own vocation!

Being greeted by Blessed Pope John Paul II

Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?” ~Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
