Even death cannot contain Him

Striking words in the priest’s homily today when he stated, “If there were no life after death, we Christians would be the biggest fools on earth.” Because Christ is the victor over death and sin, we have the guaranteed hope in the life to come. It was through the faithfulness of Christ that heaven is wide open to all believers. Hell, sin, and death cannot contain God!

I have come to love three wonderful young people who have come to confess this truth. In the most holiest night of the year, God chose these three to belong totally to Him. He sealed them with his Holy Spirit and shared His life with them in the Eucharist! Words will never be enough to express how proud I am of Donmiguel, Nico, and Trixie. It is my prayer that they will always walk close with Jesus and serve His Church as fools for Christ.

It has been a journey that has changed me and that has allowed me to once again fall deeply in love with God. On this holiest day of the year, I give thanks to God the Father, Son, and Spirit, for their YES. Christ is the Victor! For giving Himself to us in the sacraments of the Church and for these three wonderful young students: thank you, O God!
