The IN BETWEEN moment

It’s Holy Saturday. The world seems to be quiet and still as the LORD rests in his tomb. This is the in-between moment, this is the moment in which Christ is passing from death to life. On Easter Sunday morning, the tomb was found empty. Through the night, he rose from the dead and conquered sin.

What could the resurrection of Jesus mean for us today? The world hopes in many things and most of the time it is a type of wishful thinking: we hope to go shopping, we hope to pass the test, we hope to go on a vacation soon. Yet, the hope we have in the Risen Christ is the hope that Christ has already risen and we are looking towards that day when we shall rise with him – GUARANTEED!

When we know that we will share an eternity with God, we look at our lives and it is redefined because God loved us first. When we look to the empty tomb in the vigil that is quickly approaching, we realize life is worth living because He lives.
