It’s a word I use often with Alfred. He is an overall blessed young man. I only met him a few years ago and found in him a deep love for Christ.

One of the first things we did together was the Praise & Worship Night at Mount Angel. He loved the LORD and that was evident that evening. But what makes Alfred more strikingly special is the friendship we share. During our time as friends he lost his mother on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8. Early in the morning he came to my room and shared the news that his mother had just died. A moment like that is something that impacts my life to this day. There is something to be said when someone invites you to stand at the cross with Christ. For his continued friendship and love, I am grateful. Wishing you a blessed and grace filled birthday, Alfred! May God fulfill all your unfulfilled desires.
