“This is my desire”

It’s easy to overshoot the reality that God remains with us in the appearance of bread and wine, so that whenever we encounter him we are never alone. Rather, we are a community gathered in his love to feast in him! We feast in the living Christ and we become what we eat – divine!

God is so good. Whenever we may come through stumbling blocks, he reminds us that he stands with us. This weekend, we took Eric out for his 18th birthday and joined the Rosary Crusade group Saturday night. All these events surround a festive meal. Dare I say that it is an allusion to heaven. In heaven, the richest wines and finest foods are placed for our feasting and a communion with God that is eternal is the one reality in which we will exist.

As we live this Sunday morning, be reminded of the First Reading. Be reminded that God satisfies every longing, calls us to the feast!
