Roots

They are the youth who meet at Shipwreck in San Francisco. I’ve heard much about them and my opportunity finally came to be with them for their 94th Renewal Retreat. It was much more than I expected as it was a nostalgic feeling of my days in the Recollections in Vallejo during my early teenage years. The sounds, the songs, the smiles, and the love for Christ was a sudden step back into the past. I’ll let the joys found in these few pictures speak the rest.

This picture above with Joe-Poe & Jessie is a definite blast into the past!

Today’s gospel spoke of the miracle of the loaves and fishes performed by Jesus. There was more than enough left for all to eat – a look into the Eucharist. We are called to be Eucharistic people who are giving thanks to God with their lives. They are more than enough to satisfy the hunger of the world with the true Bread of Life. PTL!

‎”The most amazing thing is not knowing that you are loved by God, but knowing that you have the deep desire to love him in return. To ponder on your fiat as Mary did at the Annunciation.” Somewhat of a paraphrase of Ambergrace Castro’s speech this afternoon
