Aloha

Today, after speaking with a friend from Hawaii, I was reminded of the word ALOHA. The ha found in this word stands for breath. When we greet each other, we open ourselves to share breath, to share our lives. Sharing our lives and our stories is more than a social network event. It’s an encounter with the story of Christ, living in all of us, drawing us to the Paschal Mystery and Resurrection of Christ the Lord.

Don’t miss the point. Hopefully, in the days to come, we can make ourselves available to the other, greeting them with an Aloha, more than a greeting, but an invitation to welcome them into our lives. For all those we welcome, we welcome Christ! We pour out our hearts to Him. And when we pour out our hearts, we give it all, no left over, no remainder in this equation.
